    Question Linux-Support, POSIX-Captilities, Cross-platform-Migration avaivable ?

    Dear Profile-Migrator - Support-Team,

    according to my general interrest onto your product Profile-Migrator, improtant questions rise up:

    - Does the Software work with GNU/Linux-based OS, like openSUSE, Ubuntu or KBlinuxOS?
    - - Does the Software need Privileges (e.g. Running under sudo-command or as root; which POSIX-Captilities,...) ?
    - Is there a cross-platform - migration possible (e.g. Windows->Linux) ?

    However, it would be nice if this post will be answered soon...

    Yours Faithfully,

    Dear guest,

    Profile Migrator is intended to support administrators in the migration process of user-specific application configuration settings on Windows-based platforms.

    Unfortunately there are no plans to support GNU/Linux or other *nix operating systems at the moment. Profile Migrator runs on Microsoft Windows (from XP upwards).

    Also the cross-platform migration between Linux and Windows is not on the roadmap. Can you give me some examples on what settings you would be interested in to share between the two plattforms?

    Regards,
    Sascha
