    Upload

    Hi!

I really like the editor in Profile Migrator. I was using it to create an ACS file, if that's what it's called, for the PowerShell ISE. Some of our admins are using this a lot and I found this to be a nice little project to try the editor.
I think I created a complete file to migrate these settings and I was looking for a way to share this. I imagine there is quite some folks out there that would find this useful.

Is there any way to upload my ACS file?

    Hi Marvin,

we really appreciate and encourage users to share their ACS files (yes, they are called ACS files ) with other users. Thank you for sharing your work.

You can attach the file to a forum entry. You need to register first and click the "Go Advanced" button below the quick reply form. You can upload and attach the file there.
We will then check the file and publish it in our online database.

We'd also like to know, if there is a general interest in an upload functionality in Profile Migrator. Feel free to post your feedback here.

Thanks so far, Holger. Now I'm stuck on how to find the ACS file I've created. Where is it?

    Thumbs up

    Hi Marvin,

good question. We added the option to export ACS files from the application selection by clicking on the contextual tab (1) and then clicking on "Export" (2). This is the german version of the GUI, but it is the same in English.

That should enable you to retrieve the ACS file and upload it here.

    Hi Holger,

sorry for my late answering. I was on vacation the last days.
Thank you for pointing me to the export function.

The ACS file I created is attached to this post.

I would really like to hear what you think of it and maybe you will include in your updates.
By the way I tried to upload it as the acsx file, but the uploader said "invalid file". So I zipped it.

    Greets,
    Marvin

    Hi Marvin,

we were quite busy in the last couple of weeks, but we haven't forgotton about your contribution.

Today we finished testing your ACS file and added it to our online database. It is now available via the online update functionality.

Thanks again for sharing your work!

    Holger
