a) New features:
  • GUI: Usability of Profile Migrator has been improved for a simplified usage.
  • Migration: Support for all operating system languages including the following localized versions

  • Migration: Scripts can now be executed prior to and/or after a migration. This can be used to prepare each profile for migration or to modify it post migration.
  • Migration: Statistics about elapsed and remaining migration time have been added. Also the average, minimum and maximum migration time per profile is displayed.
  • Migration: The target path of profiles can now be longer than 260 characters
  • PMCommand: Console error messages are now more descriptive
  • PMCommand: The help screen has been improved
  • PMCommand: The migration summary displayed by PMCommand has been improved
  • PMCommand: More specific return codes
  • Logging: Logging output has been enhanced. A number of log messages have been made more descriptive and additional log messages have been added
  • Licensing: The license expiration and the migration count is now always shown in the title bar. The count of already migrated users is now updated during migration.
  • General: Many smaller improvements and fixes


b) Fixed bugs:
  • Migration: Migration of terminal services profiles failed if DC name was too long.
  • Migration: Migration of local profiles is now possible without restrictions.
  • Migration: If SeSecurityPrivilege was not present migrations would fail with arbitrary error messages.
  • Migration: Files in the root of profiles could not be included in the migration.
  • Migration: Profile conflict handling has been improved. Profile Migrator did not recognize existing UPM profiles.
  • Migration: Condition handling in ACS files was inconsistent
  • GUI/Migration: Running Profile Migrator on an unsupported operating system language caused a crash.
  • GUI: Closing the Online Update dialog, using the upper right X button, switched the main screen to login registration screen.
  • GUI: Removed the quick access toolbar.
  • GUI: Folder selection dialog bug in Windows XP has been fixed.
  • GUI: A notification is added for invalid default profiles.
  • GUI: The filter in the ACS editor was not discarded after leaving.
  • GUI: PMAppMon could not be started if Profile Migrator was started using a project file.
  • GUI: Several issues in the registration screen have been fixed.
  • GUI: A number of GUI display issues have been fixed.
  • GUI: Crash when starting an external web browser.
  • PMCommand: Default profiles were not validated correctly.
  • PMCommand: PMCommand did not accept LDAP paths that were not capitalized (e.g.: ldap://)
  • PMCommand: PMCommand now also accepts relative paths, UNC paths and tsclient paths for certain parameters where it did not accept them before.
  • ACS: Fixed the ACS file for mouse settings.
  • ACS: Object name tags in inclusion and exclusion lists can now be empty.
  • Online update: Crash when updating ACS files in local store
  • Licensing: New licenses were only recognized after a restart of the application.
  • PMAppMon: Drag & drop problem, and monitoring might fail on machines with very slow hard drives.
